Miami Beach Urgent Care is committed to providing a website and digital services that are accessible to all patients and visitors, including people with disabilities. Our objective is to make key tasks such as finding hours and directions, learning about services, contacting our team, and requesting a visit usable by everyone.
Our accessibility standard and approach
- Standard targeted: We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA as our benchmark for accessibility. We are continually improving our site with this standard in mind.
- Ongoing program: Accessibility is part of our regular design, authoring, development, testing, and maintenance processes. We treat it as a continuous improvement effort.
What we are doing
- Text alternatives. We provide alt text for meaningful images and mark decorative images appropriately.
- Page titles and headings. Each page has a descriptive title and a logical heading structure for efficient navigation.
- Keyboard access. Interactive elements can be reached and used with a keyboard. A visible focus indicator is present.
- Forms and errors. Form fields have clear labels. Required fields and errors are identified in ways that work with assistive technologies.
- Color and contrast. Text and important graphics are designed to meet contrast targets. Information is not conveyed by color alone.
- Links and controls. Links and buttons include accessible names that describe their purpose.
- Multimedia. We aim to provide captions for prerecorded video and transcripts for audio content where applicable.
- Mobile and zoom. Pages support zoom and reflow on modern devices and browsers.
- Documents. When possible, we provide HTML pages instead of PDFs. Essential PDFs are being reviewed and improved.
- Third parties. Some features or content may be provided by vendors. We request accessible solutions and provide alternatives when needed.
Tools that may assist you
We have enabled an accessibility toolbar to give users options such as text size and contrast adjustments. Toolbars can help many visitors, but they are not a substitute for accessible code. We are improving templates and content so that the site remains accessible with or without the toolbar.
Testing and monitoring
We combine automated scans with manual reviews, including screen reader checks and keyboard-only testing, on representative pages and key user journeys. We also review accessibility before major releases and after significant changes.
